I discovered the best way to become a morning person. I joined the Army. I always slept late. Arrived late. Didn't give a damn until that first morning in Basic when the Sergeant became my alarm clock. I swore he'd never have that pleasure again and began waking early enough to be standing ready when he arrived with his stick and trashcan. I also didn't eat breakfast before I joined the Army. It became my favorite meal. Quite often the only hot one I would get. These are habits that I acquired in the Army and keep to this day.

The last thing any non-morning person wants to meet in the morning is a morning person. So all you non-morning people, read my comment after you have lunch.
I haven't missed more than a handful of sunrises in 20+ years. Love sitting on my porch having a cup of coffee, watching the livestock, listening to the birds and thanking God that the grumpy non-morning folks are still sleeping, instead of snarling at me.

I never wake up grumpy - just later. And when my feet hit the floor, I'm up for the day - no napping during the day or "resting me eyes," as I've heard it called...

(Join to see) - Ah the high art of napping.... I find it hard to believe there are college courses in wine tasting and fine cheese, but no classes in napping. Wait, I forgot about physics, calculus and English Romance Literature. Never mind
