@SSG Robert Mark Odom I must wonder why the military had height requirement for pilots at all?
Don’t airplanes have electric seats that are fully adjustable to fit anyone?

Cockpit sizes, ejection seat issues, and standardization of flight suits and equipment just to name a few.

CSM Charles Hayden Beats me but I think they were put in for a reason at one time or another. NYPD used to have height requirements and they got big strong men. Years ago they did away with that requirement and now they have midgets!

SFC William Farrell Bg strong men as opposed to midgets? And just who has water thrown on them as a resistance in LOD?

CSM Charles Hayden - No chuck, back in the day that shit would not have been tolerated. Someone would have been making a trip to the hospital!

My daughter loves her high school AF JROTC, and is itching to participate in some unique civilian flight training program that works in conjunction with the Air Force JROTC programs-just for the record that's all I know about it, which isn't much.
Anyway she wants to do this to get her private pilots license in large part to help boost her chances to become an Air Force pilot. While she still has some growing to do, she is a bit short for her age. If she does continue down the path, and if she would fall under the former height requirement, this might be good news for her.
