Thanks LTC (Join to see) for sharing the news about the Malabar naval drills which are scheduled for next week in the Bay of Bengal which will include submarine familiarization; air-defense and surface-warfare exercises; visit, board, search and seizure drills; and anti-submarine warfare.
I am glad that the USA, Japan and India are participating in this naval drill.
China may be wary of this Bay of Bengal exercise.
Hopefully over the next year Vietnam will be able to participate and the drill could be conducted in the South China Sea which would make the communist People's Republic of China (PRC) much more wary.

Sir, I think the Northern hemisphere powers have come to understand that radical Islamic terrorism will defeat them all if not checked.
In these times when some little shitpot terrorist group can put someone in a business suit on board an international flight and rupture the cabin at 40,000 ft with a laptop that all are threatened and that these people will take advantage of deviseness...of course fostered by the left to promote its own agenda.. that the time has come to come to terms with each other as well.

One of the new submarines added to the Vietnamese Navy. They expect to have added a total of six which they are buying from the Russians. Vietnam is doing this buildup to counter a threat from China.

Bible reading Chuck Yeager's book were back in the seventies we were helping out the pakistanis when the pakistanis and Indians were in their War off and on for 20 years and the Indians we're getting help from the Soviet Union. It's good to see that we are now getting closer ties with India when as you recall they were a non-aligned nation 20 years ago.

LTC (Join to see) - About Freaking Time, I've Always had More Respect for the Indian Navy Than the Pakistan Navy. We Made a Pact with the Devil during the Cold War. Rather than Align with the Non Aligned Nations We Aligned with Fascist Islamic Nation. Stupid!

The real problem I see coming for the mainstream media is this.
When... not if... something which is truly newsworthy and serious comes along, no one will be able to separate the cream from the crud.
It seems like 99% of what's out there these days has no more purpose than to provide a buffer between commercials.
I am not entirely sure the younger public would know how to grasp a truly significant event anymore.
When whatever morbid human interest drivel is used up for the day the entire thing seems like no more than a bunch of dogs barking and sniffing each other's a**holes. Some are wagging their tales, others are growling (all are preening for the camera).
It's shit. I pay little or no attention to anything reporters have to say.
I just watched a segment with Vice President Pence speaking on "Hannity"?
He had a good message. He didn't sit there wasting time over ole 44's sideline quarterbacking.
I am of the opinion that FORMER president Obamas habit of poking his nose in is about as dignified as some Yahoo!'s with grease paint all over their bodies mugging for the camera at a sporting event.
The man is simply embarrassing himself and rather than allowing any vestige of a legacy to coalesce, is turning himself into a has been buffoon going for audience attention.
His turn at the helm is over. Command has changed. Pretend to be presidential... at least posthumously in regards to his term in office.
I can't say it enough, he is degrading himself.

The story came from the Indian press John and there was nothing negative really about it except for China being concerned because Japan has some destroyers that are actually bigger than our Cruisers and India has a decent Navy even though they are are poor country and combined with our forces I think three navies working together in an Indian version of rimpac actually has some merits.

LTC (Join to see) - That may all be true. I think there are those in India who would like to save face being ashamed of their relatively poor navy. And would like to make it sound as if they are a player in the big game.
Regardless of the fact that India has long since become a nation unto its own and independent from the crown, I think it will be a very long time indeed before their leadership sees itself as the rulers of that land, having been British subjects for so long.
I of course already believe and have believed that the Western powers... of course including our dumb ass "ugly American" domination post WW2.. still holds sway over a huge region that hasn't recovered enough esteem... nor have we let them.. to feel on it's own.
However, there is fault as well, those countries have long enjoyed the essentially free protection which the west has given them from China and Russia.
When they see a president who is willing to work with the Russians and Chinese they of course assume that they will lose that protection. They don't understand that no matter how much the cordiality of our relations with those powers improves, that none of the three is going to tolerate belligerent moves by the others against sovereign lands and economic and trading associates of the others
Ww2 has gone on long enough don't you think?
