Inside the Humble Tape Measure

Thanks for sharing SGT John " Mac " McConnell. I did not realize that the humble and extremely useful tape measure was patented in Connecticut in 1868. Since post-war reconstruction was surging forward after the Civil War ended I could imagine many uses for this tape measure in rebuilding bridges, cities and towns in the border areas and throughout the south.

A tool I am intimately familiar with and go through 3-5 a year, no matter how good a tape you get!!!
