The best laid plans... Well here we are tripping over the can kicked down the road by the previous couple of Administrations. Can Predident Trump respond effectively while the crazy half of the country, aided and abetted by their shills in the news and entertainment media, are siding with the nation's enemies? I'm guessing that Russia, Iran, and Syria are betting against his chances

Thank you for posting CPT. I enjoy reading your thoughts and insights.
General Mattis is going on a trip if I read the info correctly. Interesting timing. But, appropriate I bet.
I read about General Mattis. It appears, he moves forward. Then, places a hard charger in command. Afterwards, he doubles back and waits with real killers who follow orders post haste.
He does not try to win in a few minutes. He manages his power/ authority bringing it to overwhelming levels of engagement and movement.
I do not know him. But, if I was the enemy, I would be very careful.

When in a bad peace, prepare for war! There are more imminent threats than global warming or climate change. We should take a more serious stance about the global situation with Sinister countries like Iran, Syria and Russia working together. Iran wants to destroy Israel by any means necessary. The peace dividend was a joke! Those who want to divest from Israel are being Hypocrites because of look who's working together with the Palestinians who are always shooting missiles and sending terrorist groups into Israel.

What does one really have to loose here? We’re so stretched thin in critical areas (and we advise it too), what is the penalty if they decide to go in and attack? Sure we could move an asset here, an asset there, but on the whole, are we moving assets to support one while forsaking the other? If Turkey joins in, they have us at a slight disadvantage. We’re on their land, and share that land with them. That’s an issue that should’ve been dealt with. Iran’s just a Russian proxy to jab in our eye. When the time comes to actually deal with them, they’ll see if their ‘allies’ truly have their six past BS weapons shipments, even worse training, and the usual political bluster.

It's good to see you SSG.
I wonder about pride. Winning a large battle may set up a larger one due to pride.
Perhaps, cooler heads will prevail. But, sanctions have a lot of groups upset. We turned the screws on Japan and they choose to fight.
Have a good night SSG.
