Is The Air Force Still Secretly Plotting To Kill The A-10 Warthog?

in the '80s the AF wanted to shelve the A-10 ... and the army wanted to take them but the AIR FORCE WAS SCARED THE ARMY WOULD DO A BETTER JOB WITH THEM AND USE WARRENT OFFICERS TO FLY THEM ...
the 30 mm Guns were going to removed if the army got them and .25mm guns were to replaced used to replace them
lucky the 1st gulf war came along and the AF figured out the worth of the aircraft.
Here again this goes back to the Pissing contest between the Army and Air force in the early 60's when the AF for all the big airplanes and Fast Movers and the Army got the rotary wing aircraft...

The AF will kill off the A-10 as quickly as it can, they want the new flash toys even if they can not provide the same coverage. If they gave them to the Army the budget for them should come as well to keep it from being used for that disaster the F35. The A10 is loved by the Army for what it does and how it does it.
