I think we are not seeing the bigger picture here. The Democrat Machine which includes the media, universities, big Blue metropolitan areas etc have developed their political lines of effort. The endstate is to eliminate Donald Trump. So the narrative of Trump is bad, Trump collided with the Russians, Trump is mentally unstable, the MSM consistently hammering negatively towards Trump....this is all part of the strategic campaign no different than creating and executing a military strategic campaign plan. The Democrats are very good at this and even with the hypocrisy over the FBI Director firing, the media remains steadfast in their Democrat talking points: Trump is not the President and he must be removed at any cost.

SSgt Gary Andrews, SSgt Christopher Brose, "...but that didn't stop others from saying he wasn't legitimate, wasn't a citizen, wanted to destroy America, was a secret Muslim...".
The media did all in their power to mock and discredit those that made these charges against Obama - even if they were unable to keep them from speaking.
The media certainly did not help spread those criticisms about Obama as they are spreading the harsh criticisms of Trump today.

SSgt Gary Andrews - The tweets was how President Trump defended himself, he didn't get any help from the fake news.

MSgt Stephen Council - Unfortunate MSgt you are correct. Political discourse has now evolved into agreeing with any imbecilic or moronic notion that emanates from the Left or being branded a Fascist or a Racist or being accused of any number of phobias. It is comical to watch and I ALWAYS ignore them. Why? Because I do not intent to reward imbecilic behavior by acquiescing to its conduct.

LTC Orlando Illi - yEAH and he also proposed cutting meals on wheels which affects Veterans. You won't engage me because you're out of talking points, and can't refute my comments.

SSgt Ray Stone - I just could not resist ... BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT: Trump's budget DOES NOT CUT meals on wheels. In FACT the Term Meals on Wheels is not even mentioned. That minor point notwithstanding; what Trump's budget proposal stipulates is the cutting of corruption-prone Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. CDBG is administered by Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD's own website stipulates that just 1% of CDBG grant money goes to the broad category of "senior services" and of that only 0.17% goes to "food banks". Unfortunately, much of CDBG funding goes to programs that have very little to do with helping the poor. No, CDBG funds regularly go into pork-barrel and business-subsidy schemes that are nothing but political cronyism. That’s why the CDBG program has been a prime target for budget-cutters for decades, in administration after administration. Also, if one were to research the issue (what a concept) one would find that Rockland County, N.Y., sent $25,000 of its CDBG money to its local Meals on Wheels program — which amounted to less than 1% of that program's budget. Additionally, Kennewick, Wash., directed $18,500 in CDBG funds to Senior Life Resources' Meals on Wheels program in 2015, a year in which the charity got $13.3 million in total government grants. Further, Fairfield, Calif., gave its local Meals on Wheels $10,539 of CDBG money in 2015, after giving it $0 for the previous four years. So as it turns out the vitriol and panic attacks from the left actually served a counter purpose. That being, to expose the corruption in the allocation of CDBG funds. So SSG - please please continue to post your vitriolic commentary. Also, I would enjoin you to continue to disregard any comity with those to oppose your political views. After all, that is what Makes America Great

The story that Trump’s budget would kill the Meals on Wheels program was false ...

Sessions wasn't investigating Clinton at the time he was fired. There was no conflict of interest for Clinton to dismiss him.
Of course Clinton had the integrity to do the firing himself before announcing it.

You used the word "integrity" regarding Clinton, that's funny!
The funny thing about Clinton and investigations, as leftists always seem to forget, is that he was being investigated for both sexual and financial misconduct when he became President. One of his first moves was to fire ALL of the U.S. Attorneys, which effectively stopped all investigations. Nobody on the left ever seemed to be bothered by that.

SSgt Christopher Brose - Well the current guy was being investigated for colluding with a foreign power when he became president, and unlike Clinton it was by the FBI (no investigations didn't stop when Clinton removed the head of the FBI because they were not being conducted by federal agencies).
I'd consider it ironic that Clinton has integrity when compared to our current president. I don't find it funny though.
Edit to add: To be clear in 1992, before Clinton fired sessions both the judiciary and the FBI thought there we no there, there when it came to Whitewater. The only person pursuing it was a senior investigator from the Resolution Trust Company. There wasn't a federal investigation until David Hale accused them in November of 1993 several months AFTER Clinton fired the head of the FBI. There was no ongoing FBI investigation or other federal investigation into Whitewater at the time Sessions was fired.

Paula Jones didn't accuse Clinton until 1994 after Sessions was fired. Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey didn't accuse Clinton until the late 1990s. There was no ongoing sexual misconduct investigation when Clinton became president nor when he fired sessions.

Whitewater controversy - Wikipedia
The Whitewater controversy, Whitewater scandal (or simply Whitewater), was an American political episode of the 1990s that began with an investigation into the real estate investments of Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton and their associates, Jim McDougal and Susan McDougal, in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a failed business venture in the 1970s and 1980s.

I'll be interested to find out if the fact that it's the FBI investigating something, vs. some other agency investigating something, is really that important to you when the FBI starts looking at Hillary's emails again.

SSgt Christopher Brose - Of course we'll care now because what the FBI does from here on out going forward under Trump will be tainted. Trump has shattered the appearance of impartiality for the organization and in so doing has once again undermined another American institution.
