Nice thought, but do you really think all those helicopter moms are going to let their little precious emulate the servants? - lol

Point taken maybe we can't reason with them all but I got to believe that the majority of them can't be that extreme.

the Japanese school model is a method of population control, it kills kids, and is designed to destroy creativity and individuality.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - me neither I foresee this as a good thing to teach in elementary maybe in intermediate but your right individuality is the corner stone of American society and high school should definitely be all about if not in intermediate level.

I've heard that, actually, I realize I did think it somewhat creative, then I'd seen what you'd said, and kinda did a rethink, I've seen stuff about that aspect, about overdriving kids, excessive parental ambition, no weekends, holidays, summers, vacations, or breaks at all...I've gotta admit, what you'd said, in retrospect, does kinda nullify the creative aspect, I suppose, in terms of benefitting kids, I'd guess, to no small extent....

Capt Daniel Goodman - Following methods to thqt s somewhat sucessfull in othe c7ultyures can be dangerous since sucess is diffent in diffent countries. School chjores can and i belive should be a real thing but not using the Jpanese model.
If we were going to follow any nation educational model, it should be Finland, the schools a have become the best in the world and even the traditional high suicide rate has dropped among student. that will likely never happen since you have to select, pay and treat teachers like professionals and the US has never done so.

I follow, everyone, I saw everything everyone said, all valid points, obviously, that's why I thought to do a rethink on that one and give the whole thing more thought...I can entirely appreciate the basic motivation, I'd read that schoolteachers in the 19th century here were supposed to take care of their schoolhouses, do basic maintenance, cleanup, etc., I don't kmow if the students back then were also supposed to help from the local towns...I suppose within limits maybe it'd be alright, provided it's obviously not taken to a ludicrous extent...kids need breaks from schools periodically, obviously, as do teachers, that's why I suppose there are summer vacations here, both in schools for kids, as well as at colleges, though colleges are of course different, as are breaks for teachers and/or faculty to let them do sabbaticals...as I'd pondered the whole idea, I found myself wondering what society here would be like if kids weren't given summer vacations, obviously a lot less fun, of course, which kids need just as much as to taught proper social responsibility, obviously, just some thoughts, of course, for whatever they're worth, good discussions, very thought provoking, certainly, many thanks....
