I wouldn't go that far. The Middle East was populated by nomads including the Jews. The Jews simply happy to be a tribe that developed its identity around their unique religion. Islam also is a monotheistic religion that traces its roots to Abraham, the father of Judaism, but came much later. The Persians were not nomadic, but came to the Middle East as their empire grew. They practiced Zoroastrianism and converted to Islam much later. As the Jews abandoned their nomadic lifestyle, they settled in the land now known as Israel, then as Judea (land of the Jews). Other nomads passed through there but never settled anywhere.
