This article is a load of crap. I live in Texas and registering to vote in this state is as easy as can be. My wife registered when she got her license. They sent my registration to me in the mail. Quite simply the only thing that would prevent one from voting in this state is laziness.

The statement I loved was "Voters without one of seven forms of photo ID could not vote." This is as it should be as far as I am concerned. Considering the things you must have some form of ID for are long e.g cash a welfare or SS check, buy cigarettes or alcohol. How can one possibly consider this out of line in any way.

On line registration is no more than a loophole which could allow those that should not be voting to vote. You know like folks that are here illegally or those long in the grave. You want to exercise your right to vote, do what it takes to register.

Amazingly, in all my years, nobody has ever had to come out and register me to vote. Therefore, I for one could not possibly care less about the hoops, those who would like to be able to officially register voters, have to jump through. If someone wants to vote they will. Texas does not make it hard for anyone to do so.
