Holy smokes! Sure beats my $795 a month as a Pfc. in the mid 80's.

I found some LES's from my enlisted service (1972-76) a while back. Unbelievable how I could have lived on $350 a month. And that was not the lowest amount I earned as a PV1. A new aircraft carrier costs as much as an entire Army heavy division will cost for several years.

OK, I'll say it again. If the Biden administration can spend 175 Billion and commit to continued support for Ukraine, we can come up with 4.8 million a year to pay those people that will have to fight any war brought on by his incompetence.
They didn't worry about paying for a Carrier when they spent enough for 15 Carriers on a war that Ukraine is going to lose if it doesn't draw all of Western Europe into the fight.
