I'm not sure I agree with the author. While for the average poor starving farmer in the countryside Jong Un my seem god-like, the true power brokers in Pyongyang know the truth. A half-son took the power his father gave him when the true heir was exiled for disloyalty to the state. That said, if the reports of near mass purges of senior officials even suspected of disloyalty are true, any senior official who even has a dream of taking control will watch every step they take carefully. Make no mistake, this country is teetering on the brink of collapse more than at any time I have watched in 30 years. Jong Un could very well lead the entire peninsula into disaster.
