Thanks TSgt Joe C. for letting us know that on January 9, 1972 24-year-old converted Muslim Kareem Abdul-Jabbar [who was born under the name Ferdinand Lewis Alcindor Jr. on April 16, 1947] led the Milwaukee Bucks in a 120-104 victory over Wilt Chamberlain and the Los Angeles Lakers, breaking the Lakers’ record 33-game winning streak, the longest of any team in American professional sports.
