What goes up, must come down.
Responsible countries pay attention to this and control reentry - or at least launch over the ocean to minimize risk. This thing was just in orbit and came down... wherever.
Sidebar - it is noteworthy that the track passed directly over New York City. I would be curious if it tracked over any other significant areas.

We better start working on a system for shooting down their junk. They're going to be launching many rockets that will be crash landing all over the place if they plan on using this system to build a space station, and God only know where that will crash. Remember Mir?
