Good read! In reading this and a number of other articles about the battle for DEI, I can't help but think that ABDA would have much better had they mounted a Brave Sir Robin defense and concentrated into a single bastion around Surabaja or Batavia. Maybe even Tjilitatjap where delivering supplies and mounting an evacuation would have been practical. But, of course, they didn't know what they didn't know until it was too late.
“Brave Sir Robin ran away. Bravely ran away, away! When danger reared its ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled. Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about and gallantly he chickened out. Bravely taking to his feet, he beat a very brave retreat, bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!”

Supply line? Holland was occupied by the Germans. The Dutch did what they could against the Japanese. The indonesian resistance did what they could to keep both sides away from each other.
Hopefully they would both go away
