I watched the episode. Thought is was well done. It showed both political extremes and the views of the majority. Jury dialog was interesting. Need to enjoy both the forest and the trees. Don't focus whether the moss is pointing the right direction.

Law and Order: SVU is _fiction_, loosely based on actual headlines. Characters are written to invoke emotional responses, same as real life. I don't know why anyone would take this personally, as there are conservative characters on the show who aren't portrayed in this way.

I never watch and haven't for years, because the whole subject matter is disturbing and not something I want to fill my head with. It would never have occurred to me that they were making any kind of political statement though.
