There is a very dark side to this. I get calls sometimes... automated calls. You say hello..usually I am smart enough not to say hello twice. That gets the autodailer to switch the call to some idiot trying to sell things sometimes though you will get your exact cadence and tone shot right back at you.
Hello hello..ect. At that point if you say anything else you are feeding the computer much data, with which it can develope mimicry of your speech patterns and inflections. There is not one iota of privacy anymore. I bought a Harley for cash from a friend. As soon as I registered it with the state I started getting Harley and motorcycle junk mail. My own bank suddenly send me out an offer for a Harley Davidson credit card. Vehicle registration data is in the public domain. Therefore all they have to do is harvest that and wahlah potential business. Being able to imitate your voice has many dark implications.

Very true! I say hello once if I hear a pause then I know it's being switch to a telemarketer and a hang up. I never get a call back since they don't know who I am.

LTC (Join to see) Glad it is not perfect you can hear the error in the sampling but if allowed to compress and inject enough voice samples they could make it nearly perfect. The interactive voice response (IVR) companies have been working on natural query for over ten years and get closer each year. Now they insert a pause by acting like the person on the other end is putting on a headset to build in the 1 to 2 seconds they need to build the best response.
All these automation and software games to avoid having real people on the phone with real people.

What about the ones that are asking you questions.. survey or whatever..even bank inquires... How may I help you? "Go f*** yourself" I don't think there is any reason to use that type of language. "F** you." Goodbye.
No really, try it it's fun!
