They won't do anything to him. He is married to money and one of the globalists. He is above the law that is enforced in this world. It will be a law not of this worldly existence that convicts him!

The Logan Act has been often cited by fans of one party against the actions of the other. The reality of the Logan Act is it is one of those pieces of legislation that is not enforced and possibly is unenforcible under the first amendment.

I think not. Foreign Affairs are the strict purview of the President & (i believe) the Senate.

Sgt Wayne Wood - The president really, Congress just ratifies any treaties. But once again it's one of those areas where the executive is the only branch that is constitutionally authorized to be a representative of the US in foreign relations. That doesn't say explicitly that other's can't talk to other governments or even heads of other governments. They may not be constitutionally authorized representatives but that is a long way from being constitutionally barred. Any such moratorium would have to be weighed against the 1st Amendment. That is perhaps why no one has ever been convicted under the Logan Act despite its having been around for a very long time and pretty routinely violated.
I chalk it up to one of Adams' mistakes next to the Alien and Sedition Acts. Not everyone were big believers in the 1st amendment particularly when it came to the presidency. Adams was one such person.
