A good landing is one you can walk away from. A great one if you can fly the plane again. Sure she's sat in the copilot's seat, but the analogy works is you keep in mind that she's crashed every one she's flown and some people haven't walk away alive. Also, keep in mind Donald is the only one who owns his own airplane.

CSM Charles Hayden We have all crashed landed at some point. If we were able to walk away and learn something from it then it is not the end of the world. If you crash, walk away, then crash again and again and don't either know you have a problem of refuse to recognize it then I don't want you flying. In Hillery's case people have not walked away multiple times. I don't want to be on her next flight.

Oddly enough, I don't like simplifying complex issues and decisions to analogies. I'm not looking for a pilot, I'm not a crack addict and I think conflating every politician we don't like with "Hitler" is immature at best, and at worst belittles what happened in WW2.

I'm not excited about any candidate, but will make my decision myself.

Analogies can be really good tools, if they're good analogies.

But as it turns out, a lot of people suck at analogies.
