MCPO Mark Durland - To be quite honest, that was so long ago I don't remember. In those days, we in the military paid little attention to politics, primarily because we were just too busy and there was no media as there is today. Our primary issue was piss poor pay. L. Mendel Rivers was our hero and fought for our pay raises.
