Man charged with driving violations in death of Mountie in roadside accident

An American hit a Royal Canadian Mountain policeman while he was changing a flat tire for a motorist. I don't know about law enforcement in your area, but Canadian law enforcement approach the vehicle from the left. In California ,I see the CHP approach the pulled over vehicle on the right .In this case, this poor RCMP Officer was trying to be a Good Samaritan. This happened last September but the man from Pennsylvania wasnt charged until this week. We should slow down by emergency vehicles and have situational awareness of where the people are .Don't be like this guy and kill a cop! I see many people driving going 50-70 miles per hour looking at their smartphone and texting.
