The Warren case cited in this article reminds me of an incident when I was a cop a long time ago. I am a city cop on patrol in a two man car. Radio call comes in, be on the look out for a black male, 18 to 30 years old 5'8" to 6'0" tall, wearing dark clothing, consider armed and extremely dangerous. I was working in Killeen Texas, just outside the gates of Fort hood. I turned to my partner and said I wonder how many innocent men are going to get shot tonight. He said what do you mean? Well given the description fits a large number of the black men assigned to Ft Hood... this could be a real mess.
Fortunately, the guy the call was about turned himself in and the BOLO was called off.
I have never been in a situation where I was stopped for driving (shopping, walking etc) while being black so obviously have no first hand knowledge or information, but I would ask what can be done to repair the apparent divide between the black community and the police?

Upon further review of the play Wikipedia shows us that the 'terry stop' is legal and doesn't compromise infringement of constitutional right. This law thereof is probably in defiance of constitutionality https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terry_stop
Terry stop - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the United States, a "Terry stop" is a brief detention of a person by police on reasonable suspicion of involvement in criminal activity but short of probable cause to arrest.

A Terry Stop allows the brief detention of a person if they have reasonable suspicion. The Massachusetts case talks to if the police had reasonable suspicion to detain the individual in the first place. They are not necessarily incongruent.

Not much is going up to SCOTUS these days and when looking at states like MA and California you'll see the liberals in charge hanging out with Hillary. This is political theater to impress the Clintons when she becomes President. I would like to see the disparaging numbers of blacks in Boston being treated racistly. And if there is going to be a law instead of affirmative action at least give everyone the ability to flee.

I can't speak for MA on it's crime stats. I'm sure they're out there, but what a real analyst would need I doubt we'd be able to see it. At the same time, Ferg was saying they weren't doing it until a real analyst came and looked at the books and they were. DOJ called them out, and now they're in court fighting the DOJ being "they took their main source of income away". If that is how you make money, there is a serious problem and it's not the populace. I also won't give this the label of partisan banter. If your own data that you keep cannot support your argument, then again the flaw is with you Dem or Repub. Maybe I should've said that when mentioning Trump. Stop and Frisk is a hot item being it directly affects the poorer sections of town.

PO1 John Crafton - I had been 'terry stopped' myself in my car because my passenger a female had visited her friend in a known drug location. I did not violate any traffic laws. I pulled into a private parking lot, the grocery store actually and got stopped. The police know more about what goes down in an area then the general public because no one cares. If there is a pattern of crime in an area and you go into that area then your chances of being terry stopped improved. My friend whose a cop says this is what they teach early in the academy the terry stop, it is still used as a tool today. I've been in court and saw first hand a drugdealer get off because the lawyer showed there was no probable cause. Another point is why should we have courts, that is were the law is settled not on the street. Everytime there's civil unrest the court cases hasn't even been seen. I know it's a tangent but even if it is a description based stop, that is not unlawful I know they say it's racial profiling.
