Insurance companies have far too much influence on health care in America today. They have an overriding influence all levels of health care because of the money they do or do not dispense.

Very complex issues in the article...like all industries, bad apples make those who play by proper rules look bad. Also, I do not see it mentioned anywhere, but it was too long and I may have missed it, that there are billions of dollars of rebates the drug companies pay to the government every year for Medicaid prescriptions....Certainly sad to see the unethical practices mentioned in the piece.....not all companies or all reps fit that mold-thank God!
