Looks like Pence is burnishing his "tough on crime" credentials.

Did you actually read the article before posting ?

If so please explain why you think the governor requiring the legal system to be completed prior to granting a pardon is wrong

Governors and presidents are often beat up when they upsurp the judicial process and pardon people because of their own personal believes
now we have a governor that that will NOT YET issue a pardon because the judicial process has not completed and people are beating him up for that.

SGM yes I did. Had this been a in the moment request, I could see something like this. Sorta like the pardons Presidents give before leaving office. This sat for two years before he said no now. So in two years he hasn't had the time to review what is there, talk to the State AG, and either pardon him knowing he didn't do it, or ask for further clarification? 10 years this man wasted away, and Pence could've easily said this is the end, I'm going to wipe the slate clean. He's out of jail. but for what? He cannot get decent employment due to this still being on the record. It's not fair and it's not how justice is served.
