I can see the movement here in South Dakota, though very slowly. This year's governor's race the Democrat got over 40%! They have not got that much in forever,,,

People have right to be in what ever Party they want unless they run for office. Then that
candidate has a innovation if not legally then ethically. The specific party should then be be allowed to use for any financial loss.
A candidate when elected to that do we not have to vote Party line but still should remain an elected member of that party.

LTC (Join to see) I'd say that's almost completely a$$ backwards but I acknowledge it is an unfortunately widespread attitude.
An elected official has a duty to their conscience and to execute their office to the best of their ability. They have no duty to a party. We live in a country that was designed for us to elect people to office, not parties.
Political parties have completely pulled the wool over our eyes were they have fostered an idea among elected officials and the electorate that loyalty should be given to them. Loyalty should instead of the office that those people hold and their own conscience in executing that office and when you vote for a person to represent you it should be because you trust their judgement, not their party affiliation.

So you don't think it is fraud when accept a Parties nomination, take support of people and money to win your seat. Then when you get you are not forced by a party to vote either way but then you say thanks for the help but I am taking my win and going to the competition. This shows lack of character and also not fair to her opponent in the election. If she wanted to be in that party follow the rules and run in primary.
