I have often wondered what happened to Neanderthals. Would they bred out, killed, died to the climate, or could not compete with more modern humans. Here is a video of Melanesians who have 6% Denisovans in them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hUe9mDZ5xU

Evolution - What Darwin Did Not Know - BBC Documentary
Evolution - What Darwin Did Not Know - BBC Documentary
What is incredibly fascinating is the common theory is Siberians started to make their way to North America 12,000 years ago. They came to this conclusion when they found two well preserved babies that were ritually buried in Alaska. Carbon dating indicated they were 12,000 years ago. Our Native-Americans had similar genetic make ups with the Siberians to include cultural items.
What is absolutely fascinating is over the 12,000 or less, people migrated south to Central America and South America. As they became geographically isolated, they became distinct tribes. They experienced an evolutionary process. Darwin studied embryos from various animals and found they were very similar embryos from species to species. I am just using my memory and what is on top of the head. Snakes had precursors to legs that never grew. Humans had gills that never grew. He was right in pointing out evolution of animals, but he did not have the technology to determine why evolution occurs.
Modern science supports Darwins theory of evolution. A simple change in a cluster of genes may cause mutation. So it is fascinating to see the disparate and unique tribes from North, Central, and South America which mutated and evolved in less that 12,000 years ago.
