In my unit more people are discussing the Army's recent decision to roll sleeves than the capture of US Ships. That hardly qualifies as a shockwave. Failure at all levels is a generic statement. Did someone make the wrong call? Yes! Should we destroy their career? I'm not sure. This wasn't a discipline problem and discipline was worse in the 60s and 70s. Soldiers commonly ripped the sleeves off their uniforms and chose not to wear headgear. Google images ofvietnam Soldiers and count the uniform violations if you don't believe me. The old standard of training was allowing NCOs to determine what training was required for their unit and conduct the training as they see fit. I wish we could go back to that too, but with the oversight and micromanagement now possible thanks to online training and databases, those days will never return. Embrace the new army and try to realize that the old army you remember was only the spoiled new army of the era before you. Things change; have some mental agility and try to remain positive.

That's what happens when you elect someone with no military experience. Then making it worse, America elects a community organizer who despises America.
