PO2 Robert M.
Lt Col Charlie Brown My point was people can "jump" to hasty conclusions, and unfortunately, many of those people have never worn a uniform in their life. In a way, I compare those same people who are the judge/jury/executioner of a Law Enforcement officer who discharges his/her weapon while performing their Peace Officer role in the community. I am not taking a stance on the Senior Chief's innocence or guilt.

PO2 Robert M. - But he's not being subjected to a judge/jury/executioner nor being accused by people who have never worn a uniform. He is accused by U.S. Navy and he will get a court-martial, the members of which will be servicemembers.

SGT (Join to see) - BUT, in the court of "public opinion", I am certain the members on the Board will hear of this case. Are the members of a Court Martial "public knowledge"? In all honesty, do you think that the members would/could be swayed in regards to a case due to press, etc???

Similar story of a Canadian Captain who executed a mortally wounded Taliban.

He says he's innocent so lets wait to see how this works out. These guys do all sorts of stuff for all sorts of people - DoD/CIA. As such I 'm not sure it would be prudent to cast judgement just yet as the information is a bit limited. Eight deployments - I feel we owe him at least the benefit of doubt.
