I wonder what other things this might be able to treat? Or can some derivatives be used from it to treat. After all, AZT (zidovudine) was a cancer drug that was used, and a modified forms of it is still used, to treat HIV.
It's truly fascinating the medical advancements that are occurring. The price tag is the only drawback. While I understand the cost associated with the development $12,500 a month seems a bit gluttonous.

SGM Billy Herrington, The cost of medicine for cancer treatments is beyond gluttonous. I have a friend at church who had liver cancer and a liver transplant. He was prescribed some pills to take before the surgery. He took three a week and the cost was $4500 per pill. I had been trying to get him to go to the VA. When his insurance tapped out he finally went and was prescribed the same medicine which didn't cost him anything. The liver transplant Doctor had a private practice and worked at the VA.
$4500 a pill is rediculous, but if you have to pay for it to live you have no choice.

SGT (Join to see) I have a friend with HIV whose medicine would cost 3k a month. That's one pill a day for 30 days. Fortunately for him he's in the Army and its covered and provided by his MTF.
Like your friends situation; here's this medicine nobody can afford, make sure you take it so you can live ok. Absolute insanity.

It seems so unfair, that your life is in the hands of expensive medicine. Unless you have the VA,or are in the service, like your friend is, I guess you just die.

Yes it can. Almost every month I read of an accomplishment with different cancers.
