Just to put it into perspective: U.S. Army North (ARNORTH) is the Army component of U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), the combatant command established Oct. 1, 2002 to provide command and control of Department of Defense (DOD) homeland defense efforts and to coordinate defense support of civil authorities. ARNORTH falls under USNORTHCOM which is one of eleven Unified Combatant Commands. It resources assets from various branches to support ARNORTH.
All military taskings should run through ARNORTH which is commanded by LTG Richardson at Ft Sam Houston, TX. She is stationed at Ft Sam Houston, TX and is monitoring the pandemic. She has a large staff of experts like medical, transportation, weather, and budget experts. She has the ability to use medical personnel, ships, planes, and makeshift hospitals to support the nation. Essentially what she needs from the military, she will receive. They communicate with all 50 states. It is good knowing that she is monitoring the situation should she need to commit military resources. I am using an older picture of her as a COL. She has 3 stars now.
