No Password Required! 135 Million Modems Open to Remote Factory Reset

So....a headline "135 million Modems Open to..." Except ....
1. Assumes no password has been applied (you can lock these things down)
2. It requires that the local (internal) network be on the factory default - if its changed, the process doesn't work.
3. It also requires scripting and social engineering to accomplish.
So very unlikely it is 135 million modems - it's a lot of background noise - if someone is truly serious about security and wants to communication information - communicate it in such a way that does not spread FUD.
