This famous photo is nicknamed "The Beach Ball" among some intell analysts, and is allegedly an early model of a miniaturized nuclear warhead developed by the DPRK. I suspect that the North Koreans have had significant help from outside to develop thermonuclear weapons. They've been working with some of our worst enemies (i.e., China, Russia, Syria, transnational terrorist groups, and Iran), and any of them would be happy to see us get nuked.

The story I heard was that a Nazi U Boat escaped with all of the makings of Germanys nukes. It landed in Wonsan and was siezed by Korean Troops of Manchu Kuo or the Japanese Shantung Army. Japan had surrendered and Manchu Kuo was left fighting the Soviets. They assembled and detonated a small 1Kt bomb in the ocean off Wonsan, which was all the nuclear fuel the Germans had. I could almost believe it

And I laugh a little... Suppose these "miniaturized" nukes will work any better than their other weapons? Probably not. Still, should we be concerned? Yes, because North Korea is still run by an insane crack-pot.
