It’s a typical, political, knee-jerk reaction from a relatively uniformed politician, MSgt Cayle Harris.

MSgt Just be glad you don't live in CT where I live. A once proud State now ridden with Socialists Communists and Liberals. The Traitor Gov Molloy, the WORST Governor in the Nation, *(besides Moonbeam in CA) recently declared the NRA a Terrorist Organization. Here in CT I not only pay income tax for my retirement job, I also pay income tax on my Pension. Oh, check out the great NRA video clip responses. Semper Fi and "This we'll Defend"

I personally believe any politician that does not want to allow an 18-20 year old to buy a firearm should have the balls to make it illegal for anyone under 21 to have a firearm in their possession. They either need to man up all the way or stop this joke. None of them have the balls to make possession illegal because they know what would happen to the military, their piss poor attempt here to make a difference would not have stopped Adam Lanza or many others, and none of them want to answer to the greater problem it would create by not allowing 18-20 to possess firearms. I don't support any of this and am making a point politicians will take steps that 18-20yo are not mature enough and the next day let them fight their battles in war. They either need to man up all the way or piss-off and stop treating our youth as their pawns.

MAJ Byron Oyler - On that I think we all agree. Not near enough for the average troop, IMO. Too much money for ammo!

PVT James Strait - I do not believe any training in the military is very good and what I do believe is the training in the military creates an excellent starting point that if the service member wants to be good, the ground work has been laid. The biggest things I took home from Army shooting is safety and basic BRM. You could be special ops and if you are not firearm safe, all those other skills are worthless because you could endanger your team every time when armed. I have done army basic, officer basic, and three MOS awarding schools, and none made any of us great but set a strong base to become great.
