The fake laughter tells the real story. Go back and watch a real roast and see what real laughter sounds like

I remember when they roasted Rodney Dangerfield.....I almost let go! Laughed every time I thought of it for a week.

CPT Jack Durish - Captain; Whenever a "social custom" becomes "mandatory" people stop enjoying it as much.
Face it, even teenage males would start to find sex boring if they were forced to engage in it five or six times per day - every day.

MAJ Dave Brady - Major; I'm reminded of the (possibly apocryphal) story about an American Ambassador to an Oriental country who was having his speech translated as he went along. After telling a very long and convoluted anecdote (of the "shaggy dog" variety) the translator spoke a few words and the entire audience broke out in laughter. After the speech, one of the Ambassador's aides asked the translator how he had managed to translate the story in such a compact manner. The translator's reply was "Oh I didn't do that. All I did was say "The Honourable Ambassador has just told a joke. Please laugh.".

I thought the President did a good job with his jokes, obviously some skilled writers helped him out as well. I also thought that Larry Wilmore sucked beyond belief. I don't think I've ever seen a professional comedian be less funny than he was that night.

the WHCD was great. Obama and larry Wilmore both did a good job and I laughed at both. I think those in attendance take everything too seriously. probably cant take a joke in any other aspect of their own lives. id love to be invited to the next one
