That isn't surprising to me SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that the POTUS who campaigned on the peace agenda has been forced to recognize that fixed timetables do more harm than good and announce our intentions to an implacable enemy. By recognizing that the safety of the USA is really tied to events that transpire on the Afghani-Pakistan border, the administration may be getting wiser it is old age.
One of my retired classmates was killed in a car bombing in Kabul last year. I think he and many others would like to have us work with Afghanistan towards something like a normalization of relationships between us. Granted that may well take generations. I doubt our nation has the staying power the "greatest generation" demonstrated with Germany and Japan after WWII.
