Are we really surprised? These are the two worst candidates in history. Nothing surprises me except that the media that is so heavily invested in Hillary could be shamed into even mentioning her seedier side.

If you are getting subsidies of up to 100%, that isn't a concern. Some of the 47% Romney got crucified for mentioning. But, if Hillary wins, the government will increase subsidies to recipients and insurance companies to maintain Obama's flagship program and legacy. But, that will come from the government coffers so those that do pay have nothing to worry about. Sarcasm

Having said that, it is important to recognize that healthcare costs were skyrocketing before Obamacare too. For a few years they went down and now they are threatening to go way up (potentially the Insurance companies themselves letting their election thoughts be know on the issue). The upshot of the deal is that while the Affordable Care Act may not achieve its goal in controlling costs, it probably isn't the causal factor in play for them going way up either. That was already happening.
