I would be surprised if the court completely threw out prior precedent though.

Roe vs Wade will never be reversed. Various Chief Justices have hinted as much and I believe Chief Justice Stevens is among them. So State Supreme Courts can do what they want. It will never be overturned at the Federal Level.
