Vaguely remember the song, but definitely remember the cars. A little footnote, that black Corvette like that is what the Connecticut State Police used as an unmarked car to patrol the Connecticut Turnpike.

I loved the cars, back then. My first car was a 1963 Pontiac Catalina convertible.

My first car was a black 1951 Ford two door when I was 16... followed by a '55 Ford, then a 1955 Chevy Convertible followed by a 1957 Chevy convertible, which I loved, but gave it up when I joined the USAF... Many cars since though!!! LOL!

I first drove a $50 1961 Ford Galaxy that my dad bought from an uncle because of electrical problems. That was in 1970 and I was 17. I fixed it for 25 cents, after the Ford garage had given up on it for that uncle. I bout the Pontiac from my dad later that year for $300, after he got a newer car. It was followed by my 1966 GTO. After serving in the Army, I bought a nasty 1968 GMC Handivan.

Loved the cars of the 60s and early 70s. You could tell the type of vehicle just by looking at the tail lights - not like today where they all tend to look like clones of each other. And the music was incredible from the same era. Yes, we had the best music and the best cars.
