Here is a real BS article on real estate. "Since the beginning of 2022, housing wealth has added over $2 trillion to homeowners’ balance sheets.";
It's all on paper not in the pocket. That's only if a person sells the property, or puts themselves further in debt by taking a second note on it.
"This trend has important implications across generations. People under 35, with a homeownership rate roughly half that of those of retirement age, are much more likely to suffer from rising housing costs while also missing out on the resulting wealth boom.";
Once again, No wealth boom, just numbers on paper.
"The only effective long-term answer is of course to build and rehabilitate more housing — a lot more.";
That's a true statement, but it doesn't take into account the cost, because of inflation, of building materials.
"But Congress has yet to help by addressing our national housing shortfall. If it had, pandemic-era inflation might already be behind us.";
Paraphrased; Congress hasn't taken more of our money, by way of taxation, to build shelter for folks that don't want to work for it.
