SFC Mark Merino - Ya, that's funny that's what we say all the time, when we talk about our Tactical Trucks, the Navy and Marines have been using MTVR'S for almost 20 years, they make good vehicle's, we have 7-ton MTVR and Dump package and there heavy lift transport truck. I believe the Army will be happy, Remember they made a lot of MRAPS for OIF and OEF.

Mattel toys made parts for our M16's in Vietnam. Our new vehicles are made by kid's clothing designers. Some things never change.

Interesting to see Oshkosh's name as the company which is rolling out Joint Light Tactical Vehicles off its production line and deliver them to the Army by the end of September SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. When I saw Oshkosh and an acronym which ended with TVs I was thinking tactical vests since it was Oshkosh.
I hope that these Oshkosh JLTVS will function very well and provide the operational capabilities the US Army and USMC need as they replace the ubiquitous HMMWVs.

Sir Oshkosh, has been making tactical trucks for Marines and Navy for almost 20 Years and we never had problems with, in fact our Operators love them, and I loved these over the Tactical 5 tons, have driven both.

CPO (Join to see) - I recognized that Oshkosh has been manufacturing military equipment for a long time my friend.
Even though I am infantry i spent a large part of my later career supporting the HQDA G-4 in logistics planning primarily but I supported the Organizational Clothing and Individual Equipment (OCIE) team as a consultant for a couple years and Oshkosh was one of the military equipment suppliers.
I was making a partially tongue in cheek response :-)

LTC Stephen F. - Got it sir, a lot people don't know that, when we worked with Army and they saw our trucks, they didn't know anything about them and we had been using them for some time. They manufactured most of the MRAPS we have been using in country. I like them and just pointing that out.
