Ah, casual racism. How did that ever seem like a good idea?

SGT Norman Cillo - Deflecting again. There nothing casual about it.

As gas as the movie goes... there's white actors in the movie AND you've gotta be kidding me. That wasn't done from a racist motive.

TSgt Frank Shirley - TSgt Frank Shirley - Agreed, but the term has come to represent a very specific phenomenon.

SGT Norman Cillo - There is a racial history behind blackface that just doesn't exist the other way around which doesn't really make those two things equivalent.

Her actions and words were not protected by the First Amendment. Albright College is a private institution and has the right to regulate its students any way it pleases.
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
This says nothing about individuals being protected from the repercussions of their speech from private organizations, only saying that the government itself will not regulate your right to speak your mind. We can all agree or disagree with the college's decision, but her rights were not infringed on.
