As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?”
Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked.
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. “Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
The men traveling with Saul stood there speechless; they heard the sound but did not see anyone. Paul got up from the ground, but when he opened his eyes he could see nothing. For three days he was blind, and he did not eat or drink anything.
Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he sad, “Brother Saul, the Lord–Jesus, who appears to you on the road as you were coming here–has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized, and after taking some food, he regained his strength.

Matthew 5:17,19, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law...Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
I see myself facing no "Damascus Road" in regard to this issue... but our nation some day face challenges not unlike the Roman Empire before us, and Christians, those not far removed from those experienced by our forerunners... including Paul, who paid the ultimate price for his unwillingness to bow before the populist ideologies of his day.

Buttigieg is more Catholic than the Pope as promoted by the MSM. Shame the Bible and two thousand years of Christianity gets in the way of his version of religious enlightenment.
