These specific officers will not be responding to calls or seeing victims face to face. They will be assigned to the respective jail facilities and when an alien is brought in they will be able to check their immigration status. If they are illegal, appropriate action can be initiated. If they are legal and depending on the offense, they may or may not have some sort of action taken. In most cases of Legal Permanent Residents, no action will be taken on them. The program reduces the time delay in enforcement action that can be crucial, especially in the case of dangerous felons.

Capt Christian D. Orr - California wants to succeed. Do they think we are just going to give back all the federal land.

SSG William Bowen - I think that is the key, this is not about raiding houses and confronting people on the street. This is about identifying serious criminals and keeping them off the street. The ICE retainer keeps the activist judges on the bench from releasing violent, repeat, deported multiple times, criminals off the streets until the Feds can apply federal law to the case.

One more example of why the once-proud and prosperous People's Republic of Kaliforniastan has become a broken state.

It's a national program. Help the Feds, and you can get additional federal money. Some states/cities can't get enough. Others do everything in their power to deny/ignore the Feds (choosing to aid the criminal).
