During Pope Francis visit to the International Eucharistic Congress, he also said, “There is God’s side and the world’s side. The difference is not between who is religious or not, but ultimately between the true God and the ‘god of self.”
The remaining four days are in four different towns. Daily Mass is said in each town.
NPR’s reporting may be influence by bias and agenda. Have they ever reported when the Pope issued definitive statements about the rights of the unborn?
I’m sure Prime Minister Orbans is familiar with the section of the Catechism of the catholic Church 2241, The more prosperous nations are obliged, to the extent they are able, to welcome the foreigner . . .
What about criticizing these oppressive, corrupt nations, whos actions cause their citizens to flee, where’s NPR’s outrage?

Countries have the right to decide who they will and will not accept. BTW, how many migrants/immigrants does Rome have within its borders?

Lt Col Charlie Brown - The Pope is sitting on billions of dollars. Open the church's wallet and actually help people.

SPC Michael Terrell - Perhaps the Sistine Chapel could be dismantled and moved to Bill Gates house. Michelangelo’s Statue of David would look good in Las Vegas. The Pietà would complement the décor in Dubai.

The Peronist Jesuit playing Pope is once again interfering in a Sovereign Nation's Policies. Make no mistake - the Pope is a died in the wool Peronist. When he speaks of “the people” he is referring to a a revolutionary vanguard that “overflows the logical procedures of formal democracy,” which is code for that ecstatic Peronist vision of a Third Way—justicialismo. That the disposition and design of the Third Way ended in economic collapse and misery; does nothing to tarnish the splendor of the mystique. In his youth, Francis absorbed the myth of Peronism but not its lessons. Chief among them is how much Argentina’s fiscal catastrophe owed to an extravagant welfare system that favored enforced wealth redistribution over development. Among the many factors of Argentina’s historic economic crisis, one cries for attention: Perón’s increasing reliance on redistributing income, not only between industries and occupations but between skilled and unskilled worker. The Gospels, despite the promise of Liberation Theology espoused by the Pope in his youth, do not provide economic or political revelation. Furthermore, the Catholic Church offers no syllabus for monetary, industrial, or trade policy. Papal encyclicals - when presented as Ex Cathedra - are not blueprints for eradicating poverty or making immigration policy. They provide no practical means by which fine ideals and morally satisfying solutions to hard problems are best achieved. In fact - Papal utterances, or encyclicals are issued Ex Cathedra, can even hinder effective discussion. History testifies that the language of justice, delivered with divine sanction, can serve tyranny and disintegration as easily as it gratifies popular emotion.
