Things that make you go Hmmm. I do remember Part of the Cuban Missile Deal was that we remove the Forward Deployed Nukes from Turkey back in the 60's but did they bring them back sometime later? I don't Honestly Know but there is a Belief that Tactical Nukes are there.

The deal you are referring to was for Jupiter Ground Launched Missiles not aircraft carried bombs.

I heard about this as well a couple of days ago. I am surprised there was not an Air Force contingency plan for having backup power. Very strange.

Yes there is a Contingency Plan and the Generators are part of it. They've been running on Generators for a while.
