Good (NSFW language) video about the state of our political landscape here in the U.S. (and in other parts of the World).
The guy is a liberal (and admits it in the video) but from my view, he speaks the truth. I think it is worth a watch for people on every end of the political spectrum and it really speaks to a lot of the things I've been seeing through the last couple of election cycles.
Let me know your thoughts and I will warn you that he uses NSFW language.

PFC Jim Wheeler he makes some valid points. It is not applicable to one side or the other, but all sides. The problem is we have devolved to a point where a civilized discourse, and open discussion cannot happen. We are prone to tune out when one disagrees, and we have been told that it is ok to be that way. Listen to the speeches following the election, From Hillary to Donald to Barrack, they all took a reconciliatory tone. Makes me wonder why we didn't see this side of the candidates during the campaign. Instead we got the brash Trump, and the untouchable Clinton.

He was speaking from his side (being a "leftist"), but it certainly applies to every side of our political spectrum.
As to your last point, that is how campaigning always seems to go. If you speak that way during the campaign cycle, you are "weak." They always play a little more "extreme" when they campaign and then have to come back to being reasonable once they get in the office.

He's right and he's wrong. The right is equally as responsible for the rise of Trump. They threw 17 candidates out there, some with impressive resume's. Then there is that "guy". The one who punked every single one of them one by one, and to make it better, you punked both the Speaker and the RNC chair? The left wasn't hiding behind barrels hoping that they won't get the ire of Trumps mouth, his own members of his party were. Remember #NOMORETRUP or all the other tags that said he won't make it? Wanna try again? How about the speaker saying "You don't pick the candidate WE DO"? That is not the lefts fault. Name one liberal candidate who went to him and told him what to say next? You had all these "power players"of the GOP begging to get on his nuts the second he put Cruz to bed. Should I assume that everyone forgot what Christie looked like when he endorced Trump? No Trump is not a product of the left's ineptitude, his own party is to blame. The GOP was telling folks to distance themselves from Trump. How is that a democrat problem? He puts out a great looking doughnut with no filling to back it up if he believes this is a democrat issue.
The democrats failed themselves by using Clinton. The woman is damaged goods, and even O'Malley was calling that out. Bernie was calling that out. Loyal dems were calling that out. Did they listen to the masses or listen to the masses who were the donor class? We see where this went. Dems did the SAME plays in this "Superbowl" they did with Obama. One has charisma, a mean fade away, can jump. The other....has the resume to be a success, and the arrogance to be cold, conniving, a bitch with no class. She should've been taking notes from Obama on what to do when the game matters most. It worked twice. Oh we forgot about the black, latino, and women vote. No we didn't. As a man who really dislikes both, I will give Trump a chance. ONLY because he has to fall to rise. Making smart comments, punking people, and making vague threats is over. In less than 90 days it will be showtime. There won't be respawns, extra lives, or calling a friend for advise. The very man he's enamored with, doesn't like him, according to the internet. It mentioned he congratulated him through a wire telegram. Let that sink in. WHO DOES THAT in this day and age? It's not like you can't call or pick up the phone, send a text, or an email to HRC. You sent him a wire telegram. Why not just say fuck you straight up? You did anyways. I wonder will the incoming FLOTUS be subjected to the ridicule that the current was? This country does not evolve around dynasties, but through new ideas, discussion, and the ability to do whatever we want, when we want, and how we want. You see a republican, a democrat, a white man or woman, or a black man or woman. You see a Muslim as a terrorist, and drop anyone that is of that faith into a bowl named terrorist. You see a Christian and here is the model of perfect correctness. A Christian NEVER does wrong. Post something bad about a cop. I dare ya. I've done it, and it doesn't end well. A Soldier speaks of rape, sexual harassment, and PTSD. There isn't anyone to help her. You can see something isn't right by reading the responses. Did anyone message her to see what the problem is, or look at it at face value and fire those heat rounds back? When someone is that passionate on a topic, it means something for real. Brother, I don't know if you realize, but your last paragraph basically sums up what pie is saying. You're also correct, however, that the right is as bad as the left at this shit. The reason that THIS rant is significant is because here you have a liberal that is taking a step back and saying 'what the fuck did we do wrong, and how can we avoid it again?', rather than, '#notmypresident'. That's SIGNIFICANT for any extremist. This one just happens to be a lefty. I'd be just as happy to see a right-y come to the same conclusion.

Oh, on a side note, ironically, my arch-nemsis in the Navy was a Marine. We came to blows several times on board, in the aft bosun's locker. (Not all that uncommon then). That very same Marine stopped a Thai local from stabbing me from behind in Phuket, and then we spent the rest of that night getting shitfaced, and somehow got each other back to the boat.

SN Greg Wright - I think HRC in a roundabout way fucked the DNC. She and they were too smug, to confident, and folks saw this. Plus add to the fact no one wants to see her ass in the WH anymore than Trump. She played a role that has been played to the hilt; get the minority vote. Problem is Obama will be the LAST democrat to ever be able to count on that very fact. She didn't study the new playbook, she was stuck in 2012's. No one that is a minority likes her husband. That "first black president BS" was a joke to most I know who said it. We all knew three strikes was directed at us, no matter what kind of cheese you put on top to make it taste better. We knew the crack vs. coke laws favored whites being they had money to afford the good candy. If the laws were used equally, Charlie Sheen would not be on the streets with AIDS. His ass would've been in prison for life, but he's connected and I'm not. I think this is justified payback to the DNC, and the way the RNC was effectively decimated picking all those losers to see the one loser counted out make it. I don't see the romance with Trump lasting even inside his own circle. If Obama was arrogant and refused to listen, he has nothing on Trump. So let's do the right thing. Support him as the CINC and watch the fireworks as he is told many times he cannot do this or that. Wait to see how much hair he has left when his term is up. Seems like being President is an instant membership to the hairclub for men sect except you can't get the grey out. Wait till he has to face the facts that while the GOP owns congress, it's not a sweeping majority, and Pelosi will nicely let him know that. Does anyone know when the west coast folks are voting for the house again or did she already buy her seat for life?
