I just dug up a video from 9 years ago. Our Provincial Reconstruction Team, Farah had an up-armored Christmas Parade. We had a Navy Lt. Commander(Destroyer Captain) as our Base Commander. We had Navy and Army Officers and NCOs working together. My Civil Affairs Section was under the Command of a Major. I helped, as a project officer, with reconstruction projects. We did our best to make our Christmas Special! The more we tried to make it special, the more we missed home! I miss the days of always carrying a sidearm and having my body armor and my main weapon nearby! I was a Captain (0-3) then.
