Boy does this get seriously under my skin, Lt Col Charlie Brown!!!
This garbage, and yes, I did say garbage, borders on the overthrow of our government and our Constitution...and these radical educational institutions should be held accountable for what they are fostering within their colleges and universities... This is no longer fun, but serious attacks on the very people we hold responsible for keeping us safe... I find this attitude morally degenerate to society and all those who work or support Law Enforcement...

Sgt (Join to see), "the overthrow of our government and our Constitution..." Really? I see that you read the article, or at least part of it, but I also see that you didn't step back to consider what you read. For one, the piece is very clearly NOT objective. The author, Jason Rantz, is unapologetically biased and is infusing that bias into every word of his article against the U of W staff and students. His rant is entirely emotional. Fortunately for us, he has the decency to include a few quotes from U of W personnel, so we can see a bit of what they are thinking, but immediately follows them up with his prejudice against the people and ideas that they are trying to uphold. He stated of the staff that "these are adults desperate to get the approval of a bunch of college dimwits with no future. That's sad." He also said that "cowards run the school." Is that so? Either he is rather astute, or quite ignorant. I'm voting for the latter.

Actually, what is sad is that this piece is considered journalism with such obvious bias seeping out of every word. And the statement of his that I quoted above is entirely subjective. Why are the students "college dimwits with no future?" I'll give you a clue....perhaps because these students, with their progressive ideas of equality and a belief that all lives matter (even the black ones), are threatening the institution that favors men, particularly if they are white.

Rantz goes on to shut down and invalidate the feelings of an entire group, saying "None of these students felt unsafe, of course." Is that so, Rantz? The truth is that Rantz has no idea how any of those students or staff actually felt. He only knows how HE felt - apparently threatened. How dare progressives shake up the conservative good thing we got going! Ha! What good thing is that, pray tell? The fact that America voted for an openly racist, misogynistic, sexist president, then has often attacked people (especially women) who have anything negative to say about him?

I'll admit, there is one statement of his that I do agree with, though not as he intended it. "Then those politicians actually try to implement policies based on their delusional view of the world. That should scare you even more." Yes. It's true. The politics of racism, misogyny, sexism, and classism that we see so openly embraced in our current political body is indeed delusional. It should scare you.

One of the many reason I left Washington State. All of the left leaning was more than I could handle.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - As it would be with two of my daughters. The younger one was CWU class of 2002 and I can't remember the class of the older one -- but I believe it was CWU class of 1994. In my family you have to learn to cheer multiple schools with equal enthusiasm.

PO1 H Gene Lawrence - And you can add that how your son-in-law and I knew one another 20 years ago, plus he and your step-daughter had to have lived pretty close to me, perhaps only minutes apart. My address was 234 Benson Creek Dr back then.
