Raw videos show 1.7M Hong Kong protesters against Communist China demand democracy

I kind of wonder if China didn't open the gates of Troy when they took the reins in Hong Kong. I suspect I wont' live another 30 years, but I bet I'll see at least the start of the break up of China before I go.

Too many ethnic groups, too many different cultures, too many different languages, too much economic disparity; add the internet and exposure to freedoms in the West. China has been held together by strong arm violence for millennia. I think the masses have had enough.

This is going to end badly. I truly feel for those people, but the reality is that China will never allow for an autonomous, let alone independent, Hong Kong.

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.
