And if Congress doesn't find a way to pass legislation in the next 1.5 - 3.5 years, it could very likely happen again if Democrats find a way to take back control. Fix the loopholes (to obtain legal status that is, by preventing excutive branch from applying it in mass without Congressional approval), add more enforcement language in securing the border, fund DHS for that purpose, articulate a clearer path to enable mass deportation, and continue to highlight those committing additional crimes. This should include what city they were captured in, how many times they've be caught before, whether they've been released without notifying ICE, etc... Continue to hold the "leaders" of these cities and states accountable for the actions of their santuary policies.

yeah, like some kind of bipartisan legislation that includes:
Emergency expulsion authority
severely restrict requirements for asylum
speed up the remaining asylum process by giving the decision authority to USCIS instead of immigration judges
expand the detention system
the border wall
increased funding, equipment, and increased and accelerated hire for CBP, ICE and USCIS

I always thought it was intentional. A mentally diminished leader allows for subordinates to run amok.
